Dhaulagiri region trekking is known as an adventurous trekking in Nepal. Trekking off the main paths is not only possible. If you are an adventure lover, the trek to this area could be immensely rewarding. Geographically, the Dhaulagiri region is a steep slope with snow-caped Himalayan peaks. Mt. Dhaulagiri I, is the sixth highest peak of Nepal and world's seventh. The peak is high above the popular religious and trekking site of Muktinath. The vast area screens the hidden river up stream, ferns and forest of Oak and other deciduous trees and juniper forest. The rhododendron forest and many species of flowers are abundantly found on the trail. Tiny alpine flowers are found dotting the windswept ground even in the high mountain passes above the tree line.

Much of the route is on snow and glaciers as it crosses French Col pass (5240m). Then we traverse the head of Hidden Valley, and crosses Dhampus Pass (5155m).
